Fifty test pressings of Surface Noise, each signed and numbered in silver pen, went on sale at nine this morning. By four minutes past, they were gone.
Test pressings are the first copies off the lacquer, made to check the cut before the run. Ours came back from the plant with the sleeves still warm, and it felt wrong to keep them in a box.
If you missed out, the standard pressing is still available, and every copy of that is numbered too.
